Summary: In the ongoing war of streaming services, Apple is introducing a cheaper option than Netflix.
This issue affects streaming consumers, cable companies, existing streaming services and prospective new streaming services. With new services splitting up networks, many consumers are either missing out on a large chunk of the content they once enjoyed or having to pay for multiple services. If this trend continues, it may become less expensive to "un-cut the cord" and sign up for a cable provider.
Victoria, I think you mentioned some solid local problems. I think a big problem with all of the streaming services is everyone is starting to do it. It started off with Netflix. Now certain networks are pulling their shows from Netflix and starting their own streaming service. I think Netflix was very popular in the first place because it was a cheaper alternative to cable. Now if you want to be able to watch a bunch of shows from different channels, you have to subscribe to many different services. This is starting to become a big issue for consumers.
ReplyDeletePertaining to the roads without crosswalks, I think it's an opportunity to create a safer environment. And with a safer environment, people would be more economically stable because they won't have to deal with accidents and medical bills.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I agree with Riley. Streaming services have been very popularized over the past few years, especially for young adults. I noticed that majority have a streaming service like netflix or hulu, so they do not invest in cable. I do believe that this is a major problem for cable companies because they have to compete with the cheaper alternative that could be streamed anywhere in the world.
